I would try to get it to pull more in a straight lin, than the angle it has now. … WebMay 27, 2009 · the kickdown doesnt need to move that much and 1/2 inch is about right. i didnt have a cable on mine it was a metal arm that the throttle linkage would hit it and engage the kickdown. but no i doesnt need to move that much and as far as manually shifting the c4 it shouldnt hurt it at all the kickdown is just like downshifting with the shifter.
