Cannot import name string
WebAug 26, 2024 · String is the module, which is located in the std_msgs.msg (sub-)package. So you would need to be looking for a String.py file (or to be correct in this case, _String.py ). The full path to the file, if installed via apt, is /opt/ros/kinetic/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/std_msgs/msg/_String.py. WebGood call! That's exactly the problem. u/S_king_ remove any file you may have saved called string.py (or rename it) and then this file should work fine. The problem is that string.py clashes with the cs50 library and python doesn't know which version to use.
